Market testing
Help us shape private family swimming at The Little Swim Club at Hook
We are assessing demand for a new service that would allow families and small private groups to reserve one of our indoor pools for exclusive use.
Before launching, we will complete all necessary safety assessments, operating procedures and insurance requirements. At this stage, we are asking local families to tell us what they would be interested in.
No bookings are being taken and no payment is required. Your answers will help us decide whether the service should go ahead, which pool to prioritise, and which days, times and session lengths would be most useful.
How families might use a private session
- Relaxed family swimming
- Swimming with babies and younger children
- Quieter swimming for families who dislike busy leisure centres
- Family practice between formal lessons
- Private swimming with grandparents or close family members
- Regular family swim sessions
- Occasional special family activities
What is not part of this proposal
At this stage we are not proposing parties, therapeutic swimming, hydrotherapy, professional coaching, unsupervised swimming, customer-provided instructors or disability-specific services. Any of these would require separate assessment and approval before they could be considered.
Before any launch
Permitted group sizes, supervision arrangements, operating rules and published descriptions will be confirmed following the necessary risk assessments, insurance approvals and operational review. We cannot yet confirm a launch date.
